Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging - Trailer

this is the trailer of successful teen film that was released in 2008,I watched it twice and found it very entertaining for it's target audience which is early teens as the rating is PG13. There is an unknown narrator narrating in this trailer which was common in the early 200's ,how ever has been outdated by now. What I do like is the introduction of this trailer there is upbeat pop music playing as non diegetic back ground music to create a light hearted theme. And there Ironic comedy in this trailer the scenes are sectioned according to the headings that come up. For example "How to make an entrance" and then there is a quick shot of a scene of the main character turning up to a party dressed as an Olive looking ridiculous. This use of sarcasm in the trailer connotes comedy genre, as we view our protagonist as dorky and unlucky. There is also an enigma that is proposed to the audience where her father mentions moving to "New Zealand" and our protagonist "states she does not want to move and leave her friends and the boy she likes" this triggers curiosity in the audience and intrigues them to watch the movie to find out if she does or does not move. This influences me to create an enigma in our film trailer. The headings and film title in this trailer are also in bright pink bold ink this use of text type targets a female audience more specifically as the colours pink and purple are stereotypically associated with femininity. These might be some colour me and Eleanor might use if we choose to make our target audience more specific.
