In our Marmalady trailer we used various camera angles in order to connote a big production trailer. We chose to make use of both long and extreme close up shots in the opening our trailer. We filmed the sand on the beach in a close up while the institution titles appear on top of the sand we then cut to a long shot of the characters in the ocean. This choice of location "West wittering beach" also suggests our trailer is a professional big budget production. Many conventional film trailers have establishing long shots as well for example "kings of summer" a coming of age genre film included many establishing shots of the woods. This is a conventional shot in coming of age films we did tried to conform to these conventional shots by filming long shots in locations such as a beach and Ashtead common woods.
