Establishing genre of our trailer in the poster

In order to connote our "teen movie" genre through our productions we, firstly focused on the chosen fonts for the trailer and for the film poster and magazine covers. We chose to bold text so that it stands out to the audience, in our film poster we decided to have our movie title "MARMALDY" in capitals and it black and white this made it further stand out and also conforms to a conventional film poster titles of our chosen genre for example in the poster for "I love you Beth cooper" or "perks of being a wallflower". We also chose to use the "Shady lane" font from Microsoft paint for our movie title on our poster we liked this font as it creates the illusion that it has been drawn with a pencil due to the shading and rough look of it. We thought this would connote  youth as we usually associate doodling and sketching on paper with teenagers doodling in class. We found that this would successfully conform to our coming of age genre.
