How we used Microsoft paint to create our magazine front cover

Firstly, we took a photograph off of Eleanor's Instagram that she had previously taken of the me (The protagonist), which we then formatted into a magazine cover size. Once applying the Title "Vivienne" over the top,we decided to apply a slogan/ subheading which added to the cover. "The very best in culture and the arts" suggests that this is of a magazine brand that specialises in all things art and media. Applying the small details such as "issue 27" and the date of "January 27" conformed to that of a magazine cover, additionally making it seem more professional. 

The main priority of the cover was to get the message across of promotion, we intended to "promote" the new movie to an audience, by having "Luiza Paulielo IS Marmalady" is engaging and hits the audience, its short and snappy, yet says a lot. To add the style of an "arts" magazine and also the youth in the character,we applied layers of paint brush strokes beneath "Luiza Paulielo" also creating a cleaner look. 

we decided to stick with a specific colour scheme in attempt to increase its professional appearance, and to suit the character herself, and the magazine layout. We went for a simple approach on magazine cover writing by just adding a brief look into whats to come inside the mag. By using different colours on both "Exclusive" and "Eleanor" it creates emphasis and also pin-points the importance of the writing.

To improve, we would add additional writing on the front of the cover, for example, we could add a promotion and add to another feature length film beneath the brief writing we already have. This would conform more to the magazine cover, as of now it is mainly focused on "Marmalady" itself.
